“My skin is dry in the morning, but then gets oily by the end of the day.” “I think my skin is dehydrated, just around my cheeks.” Sounds familiar?

Facial skin problems and skin problems on the body can occur because of age, exposure to environmental elements, hormones and hereditary factors.

To know what products works best for your skin, you must first know your skin type and any conditions you may have.

Skin type: This is the type of skin you were born with, but may change as you mature. Ethnic background and nationality can determine any conditions you may be susceptible to.

Normal skin:
*Not too dry and not too oily.
*Few imperfections
*No severe sensitivity
*Barely visible pores
*A radiant complexion

Combination skin
*Large pores in the T-zone area (forehead, nose, chin areas)
*About 80% of skin types are combination skin
*Blackheads in the T-zone
*Shiny by the end of the day

Dry skin
*Little to no elasticity
*Dry patches
*More visible lines
*Rough and scaly
*Little to no oil

Skin conditions:
*Dermatitis (Eczema)

Now, you could have dry skin and still have acne, or have oily skin and be dehydrated. The combinations are endless.

So, when you ask your friend, co-worker, or even your relative what products they use, it may not be the best for you. Everyone’s skin is unique.
